Keynote 1: Quirine Eijkman
Title: Recruitment Algorithms: Challenges and Opportunities for Human Rights
Speaker: Quirine EijkmanĀ is the Deputy President of theĀ Netherlands Institute for Human RightsĀ and Chair of the Research groupĀ Access2JusticeĀ at the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. She also sits on the Advisory Board of theĀ Dutch Legal Aid BoardĀ andĀ Privacy First, an independent foundation with the aim to preserve and promote the right to privacy. Eijkman was also the President of the Dutch Section of the International Commission of Jurists (NJCM). Previously, she was the head of the Political Advocacy department and created an advocacy program on Communications Surveillance for Amnesty International-Netherlands. Eijkman received a Ph.D from the Netherlands School of Human Rights Research, Law faculty at Utrecht University. She has also received a Master of Law: International Public Law and Criminal Law from Free University Amsterdam.
